- That 1 slot is acctually two.. (Read the specs.) And would be used to
- get more slots as a couple of PCI-slots or a couple of Z3/4 slots.
- You can add a PPC-card in those slots and much other nice things. The
- Walker is only a low-end steping stone towards the PPC-Amigas that
- arrives in -97. The Walker will be sold with 2MB ChipRAM. (It was a
- *prototype* that was shown at CeBit. Is had a 25MHz 030 btw.)
-
- Remember that the A1200 had a 14MHz EC020. The 40MHz EC030 is a major
- upgrade since the machine is still low-end. Don't forget EIDE, Super-IO
- and EPP as an upgrade to.. HiDensity diskdrive, 3.5" HD and CD-ROM.
-
- The Walker is no "shitty" computer. It's what we have been waiting for
- for more than a year now. OK, it still has AGA, but thats no bigger
- deal. The possibility to add a gfx-card is there. And to get a Diamond
- Stealth 4MB V-RAM is not so hard. You can buy them evrywhere.
- (Only thing needed is a driver for it.)
